About Mace Group and the Project Context

Mace Group, a firm that integrates construction expertise with consultancy, is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager - Civils & Infrastructure to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to one of the largest programs in Saudi Arabia, which encompasses a significant mixed-use development featuring sports facilities, entertainment, arts, and all associated infrastructure. Mace Group serves as a key delivery partner for this extensive project.

Role Overview: Senior Commercial Manager

The Senior Commercial Manager will lead integrated teams throughout various phases of the project. This position focuses on driving commercial performance, ensuring effective cost control, and maintaining accurate financial reporting. The role requires a professional capable of leading large teams and fostering continuous improvement to achieve organizational key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the preparation and formal execution of contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses with all relevant parties.
• Lead large teams, driving performance, behaviors, and continuous improvement to achieve organizational KPIs.
• Oversee valuation measurement to ensure effective cost control, accurate forecasting, and precise commercial reporting.
• Direct the production and client presentation of monthly post-contract cost reports.
• Proactively identify cost impacts arising from design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client-driven requirements.
• Oversee the evaluation of contractor and subcontractor claims related to delays and additional costs.
• Direct the issuance of practical completion certificates and advise on making-good-defects and final completion requirements.
• Lead Cost Consultants in enhancing cost management procedures, tools, and templates, driving best practice, continuous improvement, and supporting net-zero carbon objectives.

Candidate Profile and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience and demonstrate the following qualifications:

• Experience in the commercial management of enabling works, civil engineering, earthworks, utilities, and infrastructure packages across the GCC region.
• A proven track record of delivering large-scale excavation, infrastructure, and site development projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from procurement and subcontractor engagement through contract administration, commercial control, and successful final account agreement.
