Senior Electrical Engineer Project

About the Role

Albawani is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide discipline-specific electrical engineering support for projects. This full-time role ensures that all electrical works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. The Senior Electrical Engineer reports to the Design Manager and works under the direction of Technical Coordinators.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily electrical engineering support on site, addressing construction queries, RFIs, and technical clarifications.
• Review electrical works on site to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, mock-ups, and samples.
• Identify electrical site issues, deviations, or non-conformances and support their resolution in coordination with the Design Manager and Technical Coordinators.
• Coordinate electrical activities with structural, architectural, mechanical, façade, and fit-out works to prevent clashes and execution conflicts.
• Support snagging, inspections, and quality reviews of electrical works and finishes.
• Review electrical shop drawings, material submittals, samples, and method statements for compliance with approved design intent and specifications.
• Prepare and support responses to RFIs, Technical Queries (TQs), and site clarifications related to electrical works.
• Assist in the investigation, reporting, and close-out of electrical Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), observations, and quality issues.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers on electrical matters.
• Contribute to lessons learned related to electrical detailing, constructability, and site execution.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering deliverables, including design drawings, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
• Sound working knowledge of building systems and discipline interfaces (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical).
• Proficiency in technical documentation, review workflows, and engineering coordination processes.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of design coordination, constructability, and design-to-construction workflows.
• Ability to manage technical logs, trackers, and document control systems within a Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Effective communication and coordination skills to support collaboration across engineering disciplines and project teams.

This role operates within Design & Build engineering projects in the construction industry, requiring multidisciplinary engineering coordination across design and site delivery stages.
