Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

About the Role

Hala is seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join the Group FP&A team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is designed for an experienced finance professional, ideally with a background in fintech, payments, or a startup environment, who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth setting. The successful candidate will support budgeting and forecasting cycles, enhance reporting through automation and AI, assist with the Oracle EPM implementation, and serve as a finance partner to various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, collaborating with business unit stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly management reporting, including variance analysis and commentary for senior leadership.
• Develop, maintain, and improve financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate and streamline reporting processes, utilizing AI tools to enhance accuracy and reduce manual effort.
• Support the rollout and ongoing use of Oracle EPM for budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
• Utilize SQL and BI tools to extract, analyze, and present financial and operational data.
• Liaise with stakeholders across finance, operations, and commercial teams in a collaborative manner.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and develop business cases for strategic initiatives.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across all financial reporting outputs.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and controls.
• Prepare commentary and presentation materials for quarterly board reporting.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience (5-10 years) in an FP&A or financial analysis role, preferably within a fintech, payments, or fast-moving startup environment.
• Proven experience with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, financial modeling, and pivot tables.
• Experience with SQL and/or reporting automation is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Oracle EPM or a similar EPM/planning system is a significant advantage.
• Comfortable using AI tools to support and accelerate financial analysis and reporting.
• An accounting qualification such as ACCA, or an equivalent Saudi-recognized qualification (*, SOCPA), is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across the business.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large datasets.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and keen to drive improvements to reporting and processes.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in Arabic and English.
• This role is designated for Saudization; therefore, candidates must be Saudi Nationals.
