Senior HSE Manager

About the Role

WSP is seeking a Senior HSE Manager to lead all Health, Safety, and Environmental activities for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh. This full-time role involves providing strategic HSE leadership as part of the PMCM team, overseeing contractor compliance, and fostering a positive safety culture. The successful candidate will ensure all project activities align with applicable Saudi regulations, client requirements, and international best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) activities across the infrastructure project on behalf of the PMCM team.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the project HSE Management Plan and associated procedures.
• Ensure compliance with client HSE requirements, Saudi regulations, and international best practices.
• Review, assess, and approve contractors' HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements, and emergency response procedures.
• Monitor contractor HSE performance and ensure adherence to project safety standards and contractual obligations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and management walkdowns to identify risks and verify compliance.
• Lead investigations of incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
• Establish and monitor HSE key performance indicators (KPIs), targets, and reporting mechanisms.
• Advise the Project Director and senior leadership team on HSE matters.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental management role, preferably within large-scale infrastructure projects.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, focusing on a major infrastructure project. The role requires active participation within the PMCM team.
