Senior Manager QHSE & Food Safety

About the Role

Plaza Premium Group is seeking a Senior Manager QHSE & Food Safety to lead and integrate Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Food Safety, and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) functions. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is responsible for operations across more than 22 cities within the Kingdom. The role involves establishing and executing an integrated management framework for quality, safety, EHS, and compliance.

The Senior Manager acts as a strategic and operational link, collaborating with KSA Functional Heads to ensure full compliance, while also partnering with Regional MEA leadership and Global HQ to deploy world-class standards and best practices across all airport lounges and hospitality facilities. Candidates should have 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate QA (policy & governance), QC (operational verification), Food Safety, and EHS (Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental sustainability) into a unified operational vertical across all KSA locations.
• Formulate and execute integrated management systems aligned with ISO 22000 (Food Safety), HACCP, ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management).
• Oversee daily QC inspections, food sample testing, kitchen hygiene standards, and station-level EHS safety walks across all units.
• Partner with KSA Functional Heads (Operations, Culinary, Supply Chain, Human Capital, Projects, and Maintenance) to ensure operational compliance and the swift execution of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Engage with MEA Regional and Global HQ Quality & EHS leaders to share insights, standardize KPIs, and adopt global best practices.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for KSA regulatory and government bodies (SFDA, Municipalities, Civil Aviation/GACA, Ministry of Labor) and external certification auditors.

EHS Management and Compliance

• Develop and maintain EHS risk assessments, emergency response protocols, incident reporting, and hazard identification programs across all KSA lounges and central kitchens.
• Conduct ongoing safety audits to ensure compliance with Saudi Labor Law, civil defense mandates, and airport authority health & safety regulations.
• Lead environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste management, energy conservation, and safe hazardous waste/chemical disposal across KSA sites.

Network Expansion and Pre-Opening Support

• Establish unified QA, QC, Food Safety, and EHS opening checklists and quality frameworks for all new lounge and airport hospitality developments across KSA.
• Collaborate with Project and Culinary teams during layout design to ensure facility compliance with local legislation, ergonomic safety, EHS standards, and HACCP flow requirements.
• Conduct operational readiness reviews and mandatory safety, hygiene, and EHS training for Lounge Managers and Persons in Charge (PICs).

Audit Management and Continuous Improvement

• Direct internal audit schedules covering QA/QC, Food Safety, and EHS compliance across all 22+ cities.
• Analyze operational audit metrics, guest feedback, and EHS incident reports to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Introduce digital auditing technologies, automated temperature tracking, and real-time EHS monitoring tools across all KSA locations.

Work Environment

This role operates within a dynamic environment, overseeing quality and safety standards across multiple airport lounges and hospitality facilities throughout Saudi Arabia. The position requires collaboration with various internal departments and external regulatory bodies to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
