About the Role

Bristol Myers Squibb EU Policy is seeking a Senior Medical Advisor Immuno Oncology to join its Medical Affairs Team in Riyadh. This full-time position serves as a critical bridge between clinical research and the cross-functional Brand Team. The role is responsible for the planning and execution of scientific projects, encompassing medical communication and education, and for developing, maintaining, and sharing Immuno-oncology-related medical and scientific capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with scientific experts, Thought Leaders, and external organizations in relevant therapeutic areas through various channels.
  • Create and present medically accurate information to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), ensuring compliance with local procedures, ethical, and legal guidelines.
  • Actively profile the medical landscape, continuously updating knowledge on products, patient treatment trends, unmet medical needs, clinical trials, and scientific activities.
  • Collect and provide meaningful medical insights to the organization to support strategy development.
  • Propose and execute scientifically meaningful medical programs, such as Advisory Boards, Satellite Symposia, and scientific roundtables.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration within matrix teams to embed medical perspectives and ensure aligned focus in critical execution.
  • Provide significant knowledge and insight to local, regional, and worldwide medical teams, as well as the local commercial organization, to shape strategy.
  • Discuss and deliver Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) evidence-based information reactively to government agencies, healthcare organizations, and payers, as appropriate.

Compliance and Ethical Conduct

  • Endorse and implement a culture of compliance, adhering to all internal and external rules and regulations.
  • Alert management or the Compliance Department to any possible compliance issues.
  • Act as a role model demonstrating consistent ethical and professional behavior.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • An advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical or scientific role.
  • Expert knowledge of Immuno-Oncology.
  • Expert experience within the Immuno-Oncology healthcare environment in Saudi Arabia (KSA).
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data in an understandable and valuable manner to HCPs.
  • Proven ability to develop and effectively manage new and existing HCP relationships.
  • Experience in developing field medical plans aligned with medical and overall disease and product objectives.

Essential Competencies

  • High level of scientific acumen, including the ability to interpret and present clinical data and draw clinical insights from dialogues with HCPs.
  • Ability to translate clinical data into medical strategies and objectives.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Independent and proactive approach to developing scientific knowledge and building strong rapport with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated learning agility, seeking out and applying lessons from unfamiliar experiences.

  • Proficiency in planning and executing effective and successful Learning Programs for HCPs.
  • Experience in reviewing medical content of promotional and non-promotional materials.

  • High level of integrity and good judgment to navigate the requirements of the role effectively and compliantly.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Work Environment and Travel

This full-time position is based in Riyadh. Travel may be required as part of the role's responsibilities.
