Role Overview

Saleh Al-Rajhi & Partners Co. Ltd is seeking a Senior Procurement Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to managing the procurement of technical materials, equipment, and services required for engineering and construction projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with technical specifications, optimizing costs, and coordinating effectively across various project teams to deliver timely and cost-effective procurement solutions.

Core Responsibilities

The Senior Procurement Engineer will be responsible for a range of critical tasks, including:

• Developing and implementing procurement strategies specifically for engineering projects.
• Sourcing, evaluating, and qualifying potential suppliers and vendors.
• Reviewing technical specifications, engineering drawings, and material requisitions.
• Preparing and managing Requests for Quotation (RFQs), bid evaluations, and purchase orders.
• Negotiating pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules to meet project objectives.
• Monitoring supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Coordinating with engineering, construction, and project management teams to resolve procurement-related issues.
• Ensuring strict adherence to company policies, industry standards, and contractual obligations.
• Identifying opportunities for cost reduction and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
• Tracking procurement schedules and providing regular progress reports to relevant stakeholders.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this position should meet the following criteria:

• Extensive experience, typically 5 to 10 years, in procurement within engineering, construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial projects.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), PMP (Project Management Professional), or equivalent are considered advantageous.

The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation and supplier management skills, coupled with a solid understanding of technical specifications and project requirements.
