Senior Procurement Engineer

About the Role

UCC Holding is seeking a Senior Procurement Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience, specifically within luxury hotel construction projects. The role involves managing end-to-end procurement processes for high-specification projects.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will possess a strong Civil or Architectural Engineering background and proven experience with a major main contractor in high-specification projects. This role demands a blend of technical understanding, commercial awareness, and SAP expertise to manage procurement effectively within a demanding, fast-track project environment. The Senior Procurement Engineer will be critical in ensuring material and service acquisition aligns with project requirements and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement of construction materials, architectural finishes, MEP-related items, specialist packages, and services.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and material requirements to ensure procurement meets project needs.
• Source, technically evaluate, negotiate with, and manage suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and evaluate technical and commercial comparisons to support supplier selection.
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Construction, Commercial, QA/QC, Planning, Logistics, and Finance teams.
• Proactively manage long-lead and critical materials to protect project milestones.
• Utilize SAP/ERP systems for Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Purchase Orders (POs), procurement tracking, and reporting.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining required quality and specifications.
• Resolve supplier and procurement issues quickly and effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Mandatory qualification as a Civil Engineer or Architectural Engineer.
• Proven experience in luxury hotels, 5-star hospitality, high-end residential, or similarly high-specification projects.
• Strong understanding of architectural finishes, construction materials, specialist works, and overall project requirements.
