Senior QC Engineer Electrical

About the Role

Elsewedy Electric Power Systems Projects is seeking a Senior QC Engineer Electrical to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing the operation of Quality Control (QC) on site, ensuring adherence to company procedures, international standards, and specific contract requirements through the preparation and implementation of Quality Control Plans and Procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all Quality Control functions in the workplace, leading a team of QC engineers and inspectors for day-to-day operations.
• Interface and coordinate with clients regarding production, construction, and QC matters.
• Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies for all related inspection activities.
• Prepare Quality Control procedures/work instructions and Inspection Test Plans (ITP) according to project/client requirements, follow up for approval, and monitor implementation.
• Act as a coordination point for ISO internal and external audits.
• Act as a coordination point for Subcontractor audits and reviews of Subcontractor quality control programs.
• Supervise inspection of cable laying, both in trenches and cable trays.
• Supervise quality control activities during installation and pre-commissioning of electrical equipment, including High, Medium & Low voltage switchgears, protective relays, and Motor Control Centers.
• Supervise installation and pre-commissioning inspection of Power and Distribution transformers, High, Medium & Low voltage panel boards.
• Supervise functional tests of electrical equipment such as MCC, Transformers, Relay Panels, CT, PTs, and UPS.
• Undertake any other activities within the job scope as assigned by the direct Manager or organization management.

Quality and Safety Compliance

• Maintain safety standards and comply with the Company’s Health, Safety and Environment Management System Requirements.
• Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
• Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.

Social Accountability

• Maintain the company’s social management system policy by following and reporting any deviated cases against PSP IMS policy.
• Comply with social accountability requirements according to the SA8000 standard.
• Cooperate with the SP team for further communication to improve and enhance the level of implementation and compliance with the company’s social management system.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
