About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Senior Registrar Family Medicine to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing comprehensive primary healthcare, both physically and through telemedicine, to individuals and families across all age groups. The Senior Registrar will deliver preventive, acute, and chronic care, focusing on diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, promoting health education, and coordinating care with specialists. A key aspect of this position is practicing population health management and value-based care to improve patient outcomes through efficient healthcare delivery and patient-centered approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive telehealth and in-person consultations, including thorough patient history and physical examinations for general and family medicine complaints.
• Provide chronic disease and preventive care consultations and follow-up in accordance with clinical guidelines.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including medication management, specialist referrals, and lifestyle modifications.
• Oversee ongoing care for chronic and acute conditions, adjusting treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
• Practice population health management by identifying health issues at the community level, implementing preventive measures, and promoting health education.
• Document findings and treatment plans meticulously in patient records.

Quality Assurance and Patient Safety

• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
• Adhere to all relevant medical regulations, ethical guidelines, and quality assurance standards for both telehealth and in-person practice.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and clinical audits to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with all patient safety standards across clinical interactions and report any safety risks to the appropriate department.
• Explain potential medication side effects and proper usage to patients.
• Monitor patient feedback and address concerns promptly to ensure satisfactory consultations.

Professional Development and Telehealth Proficiency

• Continuously enhance professional knowledge and skills in family medicine, in-person care, and telehealth best practices.
• Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and online courses to stay updated on advancements in the field and technology.
• Maintain proficiency in utilizing designated telehealth platforms, including video conferencing, secure messaging, and electronic health records (EHR) integration.
• Actively participate in training programs related to platform enhancements and collaborate with IT support for technical issues.

Collaboration with Healthcare Teams

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and ensure seamless service delivery.
• Share insights and recommendations to support patient-centered care approaches.
• Facilitate effective communication between team members regarding patient status and needs.

Required Qualifications

• Residency training in Family Medicine from an accredited program.
• Board certification in Family Medicine.
• Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration as a Family Medicine Senior Registrar.
• Proven experience of 5-10 years as a Family Medicine Senior Registrar or in a similar role, preferably within a primary care setting.
• Experience in practicing population health management and value-based care approaches.
