Senior Road Engineer (Mega Civil Project)

About the Role

IDOM Consulting, Engineering, Architecture is seeking a Senior Road Engineer to join its Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. This full-time position is within the Infrastructure Division and focuses on Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, specifically those involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments. The role requires coordination of all technical aspects related to road works, including quality control, drawing revision, value engineering, and technical construction method review and follow-up. The Senior Road Engineer will also coordinate with other senior specialists such as structures, drainage, ITS, and materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical control for all road works and coordinate with discipline specialists and quality control personnel.
• Resolve design issues or coordinate them with home office support.
• Offer technical advice on design changes.
• Oversee the Contractor’s technical submissions, shop drawings, materials, and design submissions.
• Conduct final reviews of all Contractor’s relevant drawings, schedules, or material submittals to ensure compliance with project design concepts.
• Assess and report technically on any Value Engineering proposals.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the Road Engineering department and the Technical Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, with a focus on roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in technical coordination, quality control, and design review for road infrastructure projects.
