The Role: Senior Road Engineer

Dar is seeking a Senior Road Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing the planning, design review, and supervision of road works, ensuring strict compliance with project specifications, design standards, and construction schedules. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

Review and approve road design drawings, material submittals, and shop drawings.
Monitor road construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders regarding technical issues and site progress.
Verify quantities and ensure quality control on all roadwork-related activities.
Review method statements and ensure safe, efficient work execution.
Support the Project Manager in progress reporting, risk assessment, and technical evaluations.
Ensure adherence to relevant authorities’ standards, such as those set by MOT or RCRC.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 10 years of professional experience in road engineering, with a proven track record in design review, supervision, and project compliance. A strong understanding of road construction methodologies and relevant industry standards is essential for this role.
