About WSP and the Role

WSP is a consultancy specializing in site supervision for road, tunnel, highway, and bridge projects within the construction industry. The company is committed to delivering high-quality solutions that meet client needs while adhering to safety and sustainability standards. WSP is seeking a Senior Road Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading and overseeing the delivery of road infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, design, and development of road infrastructure projects, including alignment studies, geometric design, pavement design, and drainage design, in accordance with client requirements, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
Conduct feasibility assessments, traffic impact analyses, and risk assessments to inform design decisions and optimize project outcomes.
Provide technical oversight and guidance during the construction phase of road projects, conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with engineering specifications and contractual requirements.
Implement quality assurance and control measures to ensure construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved plans and standards.
Develop and implement traffic management plans and safety measures to minimize disruptions and ensure the safety of road users, construction workers, and the public.
Monitor traffic flow, signage, and temporary diversions, proactively addressing any issues to maintain smooth and safe operation of roadways during construction.
Engage with clients, stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and communities to understand their needs, concerns, and expectations related to road infrastructure projects.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, providing regular updates, progress reports, and technical presentations.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, tracking progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of road projects.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 15 years of experience in road engineering.
Proven track record in site supervision within the construction consultancy sector.
Demonstrated technical expertise and project management skills in road infrastructure projects.
