Senior SAP SD Functional Consultant

About the Role

Alfanar is seeking a Senior SAP SD Functional Consultant to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves assisting the project team in configuring business processes within assigned SAP ERP modules, ensuring efficiency, timeliness, and adherence to quality standards. The consultant will contribute to departmental operational plans and developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise on SAP's best practices for implementing respective SAP module business processes.
• Lead workshops to gather business requirements, promote the adoption of standard SAP processes, and identify and manage gaps while minimizing development effort.
• Design, configure, test, and implement assigned SAP module business processes, ensuring SAP standards are followed and customization is minimized.
• Define and execute unit, integration, and regression test scripts to validate end-to-end business scenarios and troubleshoot complex functional issues.
• Contribute to managing SAP projects within defined time, quality, and cost constraints.
• Document all aspects of the assigned SAP module implementation, including business blueprint design, application configuration, functional specifications, and test plans.
• Support existing productive implementations of assigned SAP modules and resolve incidents based on pre-defined SLAs.
• Ensure all change requests follow the established Request for Change processes.

• Maintain updated soft and technical skills relevant to the job.
• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets according to delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
• Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.
• Solve related problems and escalate complex operational issues as needed.
• Ensure quality requirements are met to develop effective quality control and processes.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities.
• Comply with relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures within the defined area of work.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in SAP SD functional consulting.
• Demonstrated expertise in SAP module configuration and testing.
• Experience in project management and documentation within SAP environments.
• Proficiency in supporting existing SAP implementations and resolving incidents.

Work Environment
