The Role

Worley is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and involves leading and overseeing technical aspects of renewable energy projects, particularly Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) developments. The consultant will ensure projects meet client requirements and company standards while providing technical guidance and managing stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Solar PV and BESS projects from initiation through development.
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Monitor project progress, risks, and deliverables.
• Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and specialist consultants.
• Manage project communications and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with client requirements and company standards.
• Manage and oversee the delivery of all technical studies required for renewable energy developments.
• Review and provide guidance on various technical studies, including Site Screening, Feasibility, Solar Resource, Energy Yield, BESS Sizing and Optimization, Hybrid Solar PV + BESS, Grid Connection, Power System, Environmental and Social, Geotechnical, Topographical, and Technical Due Diligence Assessments.
• Challenge technical assumptions and ensure study outputs are robust.
• Review consultant and contractor deliverables for quality and completeness.
• Provide technical recommendations to clients and project stakeholders.
• Interface with developers, investors, utilities, regulators, and government entities.
• Lead technical workshops, progress meetings, and client presentations.
• Support business development activities and proposal preparation.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in technical consulting or project management within the renewable energy sector, specifically Solar PV and BESS projects.
