About the Role

Absolute Taste Meddle East is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join their culinary team in Riyadh. This is a full-time, on-site contract position where the successful candidate will provide essential support to the Head Chef in delivering high-quality culinary experiences.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The Sous Chef will be instrumental in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring that all food preparation, consistency, and presentation meet the rigorous standards of Absolute Taste. This role is central to upholding the company’s commitment to a fresh and simple food philosophy across all kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
• Coordinating food preparation and service to maintain a smooth and timely workflow.
• Maintaining stringent food safety and hygiene practices in compliance with company policies.
• Leading, mentoring, and providing training to kitchen team members.
• Managing stock levels, inventory, and overseeing the ordering of ingredients.
• Assisting with menu development, ensuring alignment with the company’s fresh and simple food philosophy.
• Collaborating effectively with front-of-house and event teams to deliver a seamless catering experience for clients and guests.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of professional culinary experience, preferably within a high-volume or high-standard kitchen environment. Demonstrated ability in kitchen supervision, team leadership, and adherence to food safety protocols is essential for this role.

Location and Compensation

This full-time, on-site contract role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The salary offered for this position ranges from SAR 11,250 to SAR 15,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
