About the Role

alfanar Group is seeking a Specialist, AV Support to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of all meeting room audio-visual and video-conferencing systems. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to maintain the functionality and availability of AV and video-conferencing systems within meeting spaces. This involves conducting routine checks, resolving technical issues, and coordinating necessary maintenance and repairs to ensure meeting rooms are consistently ready for use.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled checks to confirm meeting room technology is operational and ready for use.
• Test displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, control panels, conferencing equipment, and room-booking devices.
• Confirm the availability and proper organization of cables, adapters, remote controls, and other required accessories.
• Maintain meeting rooms according to approved technology setups and operating standards.
• Prioritize checks for executive meetings, important events, and high-usage rooms.
• Respond promptly to incidents affecting meeting room and video-conferencing systems.
• Diagnose and resolve common audio, video, connectivity, control-system, and equipment issues.
• Assist users with starting meetings, sharing content, connecting devices, and using conferencing platforms.
• Provide on-site support for important meetings when required.
• Escalate complex or recurring issues to the appropriate IT team, vendor, or service provider.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in AV support or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to audio-visual and video-conferencing systems.
• Experience with various conferencing platforms and control systems.

This role holds accountability across several critical areas, including Meeting-Room Readiness, Technical Support, Maintenance and Coordination, Equipment and Asset Control, Service Monitoring and Documentation, and adherence to IT Standards and Procedures.
