Sr. Landscape Architect

About the Role

Solaiman A. ElKhereiji (SAK) Engineering Consultant Company is seeking a Sr. Landscape Architect to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing, reviewing, and coordinating landscape design and site implementation for mega construction projects. The Sr. Landscape Architect ensures compliance with approved masterplans, detailed drawings, specifications, and project requirements, bridging design intent with site execution to ensure constructability, quality, sustainability, and interdisciplinary coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement landscape designs from concept through construction, ensuring alignment with approved vision, regulations, client requirements, and sustainability goals.
• Review and validate landscape masterplans, detailed drawings, specifications, calculations, and planting schedules for compliance and constructability.
• Manage and coordinate landscape work packages throughout design development and construction stages, proactively resolving site and design issues.
• Conduct site analyses to assess environmental, cultural, functional, and operational constraints influencing landscape solutions.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, MEP, Irrigation, BIM, HSE, and QA/QC teams to ensure full interdisciplinary integration.
• Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and samples related to landscape works.
• Respond to RFIs and provide technical clarifications to support site execution and maintain program alignment.
• Prepare technical reports, gap analyses, value engineering proposals, and optimization recommendations to enhance performance and constructability.
• Support CSC inspectors during inspections, snagging, de-snagging, and handover activities.
• Verify progress, quantities, and milestones related to landscape works and contribute to project reporting and as-built documentation.

Design and Technical Control

• Ensure alignment between IFC drawings, BIM models, and site installations.
• Identify design clashes and constructability issues, proposing technically sound solutions.
• Coordinate revisions and ensure timely issuance of updated drawings.

Performance Expectations

• Timely response to RFIs and design clarifications in line with CSC timelines.
• Effective coordination minimizing rework, NCRs, and site delays.
• Provision of clear, actionable, and technically justified review comments.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in landscape architecture.
• Proficiency in managing landscape work packages from design development through construction.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines.
• Experience with RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, and material submittals.

Reporting and Coordination

The Sr. Landscape Architect reports to the Landscape Discipline Lead / Resident Engineer. The role requires coordination with CSC inspectors, PMC, client representatives, and contractors, adhering to CSC reporting lines, approval authorities, and Aconex protocols.
