Sr. Resident Engineer

About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Resident Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in road, railway, and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and coordinating with various stakeholders.

Role Overview

The Sr. Resident Engineer will play a critical role in managing and supervising construction activities for significant infrastructure projects. This involves ensuring that all works are executed according to approved designs and standards, while also facilitating effective communication and problem-solving among project teams, clients, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage construction activities for road, railway, and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with the client, contractor, and consultants to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and compliance with project standards.
• Review contractor submissions, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Lead site inspections and ensure proper implementation of quality control procedures.
• Prepare and review progress reports and provide technical recommendations.
• Manage and coordinate site supervision teams.
• Identify potential project risks and support timely resolution of issues.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and relevant engineering standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in road, railway, and construction projects.
• Strong experience in site supervision and construction management.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methods, specifications, and quality standards.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Saudi/GCC project experience is preferred.
