About the Role

alfanar, headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Sr. Technical Development Engineer specializing in Cybersecurity. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on developing and implementing cybersecurity solutions for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and critical infrastructure. alfanar operates construction and manufacturing businesses, design & development centers, and various facilities across the Middle East and other regions, with key divisions including alfanar electric, alfanar Construction, and alfanar Building Systems.

Role Purpose and Business Growth

The Sr. Technical Development Engineer - Cybersecurity is responsible for driving business growth by designing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and solutions for Operational Technology (OT) environments. This involves expanding the customer base, nurturing partner relationships, and increasing revenue through the delivery of advanced, tailored cybersecurity offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute growth strategies to enhance the company's market presence in OT cybersecurity.
• Identify new market opportunities and formulate targeted business plans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their specific cybersecurity needs.
• Collaborate with technology partners and vendors to deliver integrated cybersecurity solutions.
• Design and deliver customized cybersecurity solutions for Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
• Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) projects to validate the effectiveness of cybersecurity solutions.
• Provide technical expertise and consultation to customers and pre-sales teams, advising on optimal OT cybersecurity solutions.
• Prepare Bid Plans, including strategy, resource allocation, program, budget, cost estimation, and responsibility matrices.
• Manage clarification and deviation lists during the pre-bid stage and provide necessary clarifications post-bid.
• Deliver technical and commercial presentations to various stakeholders.
• Support and present solutions at relevant cybersecurity events and explore potential vendor collaborations.

Market Awareness and Innovation

This role requires staying abreast of the latest advancements in OT cybersecurity, emerging threats, and evolving market trends. Insights gained from market awareness should be used to recommend enhancements to existing products and services, ensuring alfanar's offerings remain competitive and effective.

Reporting and Analysis

The engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed reports on business development activities and their outcomes. Performance metrics will be analyzed to identify areas for improvement and to ensure the effectiveness of implemented strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in technical development and cybersecurity, with a focus on OT environments. A strong understanding of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and critical infrastructure security is essential. The ability to design and implement customized solutions, coupled with strong presentation and communication skills, is required.
