Role Overview: Junior Pastry Sous Chef

We are seeking a Junior Pastry Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. This full-time role involves supporting the Head Pastry Chef in managing the pastry section. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily production, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the development of the junior pastry team. The position offers a monthly salary of 7,000 SAR.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute classic and contemporary pastry techniques with precision and attention to presentation.
• Participate in motivating and developing the pastry team, maintaining discipline during busy periods, and leading the section in the absence of the Head Pastry Chef.
• Plan daily production, monitor shelf life, maintain strict FIFO and labeling standards, and manage freezing and defrosting procedures.
• Ensure all pastry items meet established standards for taste, texture, and visual appeal, while maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant workspace.
• Monitor stock levels, manage portion controls, and minimize waste to maintain quality while controlling food costs.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a pastry role, preferably within an upscale dining environment.
• Demonstrated ability to produce a range of pastry items, from viennoiserie to plated desserts.
• Proven leadership potential and ability to mentor junior team members.
• Strong understanding of hygiene, quality, and inventory control standards in a kitchen setting.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. The role operates within a dynamic kitchen environment focused on delivering high-quality culinary experiences.
