Structural Engineer

About the Role

DAR ENGINEERING is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on structural design review, shop drawing verification, and providing essential construction support. The role requires a strong ability to critically assess existing designs and ensure compliance with project standards, rather than developing new designs from inception.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify structural designs, calculations, and technical reports submitted by consultants and contractors.
• Examine IFC (Issued for Construction) documents, detailed designs, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements, relevant codes, and specifications.
• Prepare comprehensive technical review comments, assessment reports, and provide clear recommendations.
• Evaluate material submittals, method statements, and other technical submissions related to structural works.
• Identify design discrepancies, potential constructability issues, and coordination conflicts, offering technical recommendations for resolution.
• Provide support to site teams by responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) and addressing design-related construction issues.
• Conduct site inspections to confirm adherence to approved drawings and specifications.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess strong experience in structural design review, shop drawing checking, and construction support.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required.
• Demonstrated ability to critically assess designs and ensure compliance with established standards.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, within DAR ENGINEERING. The role involves working collaboratively with project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure structural integrity and compliance throughout project lifecycles.
