Supply Chain Specialist

About the Role

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to be based in Al Tareef Al Jadeed, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract position, engaged through a third-party outsourcing partner. The role is dedicated to the Animal Health business in Saudi Arabia and reports directly to the Head of Commercial Supply Chain for SAGEA (Saudi Arabia, Gulf Countries and East Africa).

Role Purpose

The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for overseeing the storage and distribution of goods at third-party logistics providers (3PLs). This involves ensuring compliance with established processes and maintaining optimal cost-effectiveness. The specialist will manage 3PL performance to achieve excellence in logistics and distribution through rigorous monitoring and effective management.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage day-to-day operations from 3PLs to customers.
• Coordinate and track shipments across all divisions.
• Handle sales recognition and invoicing processes.
• Coordinate inventory reconciliation to identify variances and resolve stock issues.
• Manage shipment tracking and documentation.
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on operational activities.
• Align with the Quality Assurance team to ensure operational accuracy.
• Manage the Order to Cash process, including the creation of credit/debit notes for financial reconciliation.
