About the Role

The Public Investment Fund (PIF) is seeking a Tactical Investment Professional to join the International Investments team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on providing insights into PIF’s direct investments within assigned regions and geographies. The professional will manage investment transaction processes, oversee portfolio management, monitor investment performance, and develop industry expertise across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the identification, evaluation, selection, and management of International Direct Investments, including equity investments with influential ownership in listed or private companies, ensuring alignment with PIF’s investment policy.
Participate in co-underwriting opportunities alongside leading general partners and sponsors in Tactical Investments.
Prepare and manage the transaction process, including financial modeling, multi-criteria valuation approaches, advisor management, term negotiation, and closing documentation for International Direct Investments.
Prepare investment memos, recommendations for new deals, internal update reports, and necessary updates for the PIF Board, related Committees, or other entities.
Engage in portfolio management, reviewing strategic matters, business plans, and board nominations.
Contribute to operational improvements and strategic initiatives at portfolio companies, collaborating with management teams to drive growth, efficiency, and value creation.
Manage multiple concurrent projects and transaction workstreams.
Analyze International Direct Investments portfolio performance, recommend corrective actions, and stay informed on market developments and trends.
Contribute to the process of exiting investments at appropriate times, including raising recommendations for approval and managing the exit process.

The role requires developing industry expertise and market knowledge in Tactical Investments across sectors such as Automotive, Mobility, Technology, Software, Augmented Reality, Robotics, and related industries.

Operational Accountabilities

Implement operational excellence improvement initiatives and propose enhancements to systems, processes, and practices, adhering to PIF policies and international leading practices.
Support the development of policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls, ensuring alignment and adherence to compliance, risk, audit, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
