Technical Advisor

About the Role

Jotun Saudia Co. Ltd. is seeking a Technical Advisor to supervise ongoing decorative painting projects in Riyadh. This full-time position involves ensuring the correct product application and usage to achieve performance standards as outlined in Jotun's technical data sheets and method statements. The Technical Advisor will report to the Senior Technical Advisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide applicators on proper product application techniques, conduct on-site assessments, and inspect concrete surfaces to ensure correct preparation for coating application.
• Report on painting activities for both decorative and floor coating products, ensuring adherence to specifications and procedures.
• Perform quality control tests, including film thickness checks, adhesion tests, and visual assessments, to verify application quality and proactively address any surface or performance issues.
• Engage with contractors and applicators to expand the qualified applicator network by providing training and certification as authorized Jotun applicators.
• Collaborate with the Quality Control Lab to troubleshoot product issues and ensure appropriate recommendations are provided to customers.
• Deliver product training sessions to internal teams and customers to enhance their knowledge and skills in product application and performance.
• Adhere to Jotun’s HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) standards, ensuring consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of hazardous materials in compliance with workplace and environmental safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should have 2-5 years of relevant experience in a technical advisory role within the painting or coatings industry. A strong understanding of product application, surface preparation, and quality control procedures is essential.
