About the Role

IQVIA is seeking a Technical Business Operations Consultant to serve as a strategic advisor and technical expert. This full-time role supports client initiatives within the nphies ecosystem in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams—technical, business, and delivery—to ensure successful implementation, integration, and optimization of healthcare solutions aligned with nphies standards and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on FHIR standards, HL7 protocols, and healthcare interoperability.
  • Advise on best practices for integrating nphies requirements into existing healthcare systems.
  • Stay current with regulatory updates and digital health trends in Saudi Arabia.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand strategic goals, operational challenges, and technical requirements.
  • Conduct gap analysis and recommend tailored solutions for interoperability, data exchange, and financial workflows.
  • Test and verify production releases on production and at early stages.
  • Design and review system architectures that support FHIR-based data exchange and nphies compliance.
  • Recommend integration strategies for HIS, HIE, payer systems, and provider platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline healthcare operations, reduce costs, and improve data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Support automation and digitalization of financial health services.
  • Recommend tools, platforms, and technologies that support scalable and secure healthcare data management.
  • Support adoption of cloud-based solutions, APIs, and microservices architectures.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, QA, and Delivery teams to ensure functional alignment and successful rollout.
  • Participate in solution reviews, testing, and validation of new functionalities.
  • Act as a trusted Subject Matter Expert (SME) for nphies-related initiatives, providing insights and training to internal and client teams.
  • Support documentation, workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions.

Required Experience and Expertise

The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. Candidates must possess a deep understanding of healthcare interoperability standards, particularly FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources), and the broader Saudi healthcare landscape. This includes familiarity with payer-provider systems, financial health services, and digital transformation goals within the region.

Technical Acumen

Candidates should demonstrate strong technical acumen in designing and reviewing system architectures for FHIR-based data exchange and nphies compliance. This includes recommending integration strategies for various healthcare platforms and supporting the adoption of modern technological solutions such as cloud-based systems, APIs, and microservices architectures.

Client Engagement and Collaboration

The consultant will engage directly with client stakeholders to assess needs and provide tailored solutions. Effective collaboration with internal and client teams, including Business Analysts, Developers, QA, and Delivery teams, is essential for successful project execution and knowledge transfer.
