About AtkinsRéalis and the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Technical Director to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires a highly experienced and strategic professional with extensive technical knowledge, proven leadership capabilities, and a strong background in business development and securing new projects. The ideal candidate will possess at least 20 years of post-graduate experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.

Project Overview

The Technical Director will be responsible for a significant project involving the validation of RIBA 4 / IFT / IFC designs for multiple assets. This includes managing the coordination process of Contractor shop drawings through SSC and LDC approvals to prepare for construction. Designs will be provided at RIBA 4 as either LOD300 or LOD350, with the contractor tasked with developing the models and design to LOD500.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the strategic vision for the department and business.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight on projects, ensuring high standards of technical quality and compliance.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's portfolio.
• Lead in the preparation of proposals and bids for new projects.
• Oversee the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion, managing budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness, including the understanding and ability to administer Change Control.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 20 years of post-graduate experience in a relevant technical field.
• Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Extensive technical knowledge and a track record of technical achievement and client satisfaction.
