The Role: Visiting Forward Deployed AI Scientist

BCG X is seeking a Visiting Forward Deployed AI Scientist for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves owning the full analytics value chain, from framing business challenges and designing algorithms to implementing and deploying scalable solutions. The scientist will enable colleagues and clients to integrate AI effectively. Product offerings range from custom builds to industry-specific AI software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply data science methods and analytics to real-world business situations across various industries.
• Partner with clients in different BCG regions and industries, including on topics such as climate change.
• Design, build, and deploy new and innovative solutions for clients.
• Develop and deliver thought leadership within scientific communities and through papers.
• Lead conferences on behalf of BCG X.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Comfortable in a client-facing role with the ambition to lead teams.
• Ability to distill complex results or processes into clear visualizations.
• Proficiency in explaining sophisticated data science concepts understandably.
• Experience applying advanced analytics to business situations and synthesizing complex data.
• Deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical underpinnings, with the ability to translate this into business implications.
• Strong project management skills.

Technical Skills

• Experience building solutions and working with modern development tools.
• Ability to write code collaboratively.
• Software development or DevOps experience is a plus.
