About the Business Development Advisor Role

Plant.Digital is seeking a Business Development Advisor to join its team in Dhahran, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is crucial for driving growth by identifying, developing, and securing new, ROI-driven business opportunities within the company's services domain. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose and Strategic Impact

The Business Development Advisor integrates strategic insight with hands-on engagement, helping clients address complex business challenges through comprehensive solutions. These solutions encompass hardware, software, cloud, and support services. This role functions as a trusted advisor to customers, collaborating closely with internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) delivery teams to formulate successful proposals and cultivate long-term partnerships. The advisor acts as a vital link between client needs and Plant.Digital's service capabilities, requiring a blend of consultative selling, solution understanding, and commercial acumen to position the company as a preferred knowledge integration partner.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within specified target clients and industry verticals.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans to expand market presence and revenue.
• Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting through contract negotiation and closure.
• Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders.
• Conduct discovery sessions to understand client challenges, business goals, and technical requirements.
• Present tailored digital solutions that demonstrate value, ROI, and competitive differentiation.
• Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the digital solution landscape.
• Recommend strategic initiatives to strengthen the company’s market position and identify partnership opportunities with vendors, distributors, and technology providers.
• Work closely with marketing and operations teams to support go-to-market initiatives.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and CRM documentation.
• Provide feedback to leadership on customer needs, solution gaps, and service improvement opportunities.

Solution Development and Commercial Management

• Collaborate with pre-sales engineers, architects, and delivery teams to design integrated solutions.
• Prepare high-quality proposals, RFP responses, and commercial offers, ensuring proposed solutions are feasible, competitive, and aligned with customer expectations.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) across all operations teams to gather detailed effort estimates for each component of the solution.
• Consolidate all SME inputs into a comprehensive, end-to-end effort estimation covering the full scope of work.
• Develop pricing models, cost structures, and commercial strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability.
• Optimize proposals by identifying cost efficiencies, delivery synergies, and value-added enhancements.

Candidate Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in business development, including previous experience generating new business opportunities with a tier-one consulting company.
• A customer-centric mindset.
• Prior exposure to working with cross-functional teams, SMEs, or delivery organizations.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
