We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Clinical Engineer.

The Senior Clinical Engineer Role

The Senior Clinical Engineer is a pivotal role responsible for the comprehensive maintenance and operational readiness of all medical equipment within JHAH facilities. This position ensures that all instrumentation meets stringent clinical standards and supports the continuous delivery of healthcare services. The Senior Clinical Engineer operates under the direction of Team Leaders and/or Managers and is expected to bring 5-10 years of relevant experience in clinical engineering.

Strategic Oversight and Guidance

A key aspect of this role involves providing strategic direction and expertise within the clinical engineering department. Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing and guiding Clinical Engineers to ensure adherence to best practices, enhance compliance with regulatory standards, and mitigate risks across the business unit.

Core Operational Responsibilities

The operational duties of the Senior Clinical Engineer are fundamental to maintaining the functionality and safety of medical equipment. These responsibilities include:

• Performing pre-purchase technical evaluations and product comparisons for new medical equipment.
• Reviewing, analyzing, and providing recommendations for equipment packages received from vendors based on specified requirements.
• Preparing and submitting draft technical packages with recommendations to Supply Chain Management.
• Coordinating with medical and nursing staff to develop technical and performance specifications for equipment related to new technology requirements.
• Supervising and leading a team in the execution of routine operational tasks.
• Conducting day-to-day operations such as inspecting equipment and ensuring its readiness for clinical use.
• Supporting departmental operational needs by maintaining equipment functionality and promptly resolving issues.
• Executing preventive maintenance, necessary repairs, calibration, and functional tests on medical equipment.
• Accurately recording results and meticulously maintaining comprehensive records for all medical equipment and instrumentation utilized at JHAH.

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time position based in Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role requires a consistent presence within the healthcare facility to manage and maintain critical medical equipment effectively and support continuous operations.
