About the Opportunity

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) invites applications for full-time faculty positions within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. These roles are open at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor ranks, based in Dhahran. The initial call for applications was for positions starting from Fall 2020.

Department Overview

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at KFUPM provides a high-quality teaching and research environment. Its undergraduate program is fully accredited by ABET (****, and the graduate program is active, enrolling over 60 * and ** students across Structural, Geotechnical, Transportation, and Water Resources & Environmental Engineering areas.

The department's laboratories are fully equipped with modern equipment and software across all civil engineering disciplines, supported by full-time technical staff for both teaching and research activities. The CEE Department is also expanding its Structural Engineering Lab facility with state-of-the-art equipment, including specialized Earthquake Engineering research facilities.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess an earned ** from a reputable institution. Essential qualifications include a strong record of published research, experience in supervising graduate student research, and relevant teaching and/or industrial experience at the university level within the specified areas.
