About the Opportunity

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Training Specialist and Curriculum Instructor to join our team in Dhahran. This full-time role is central to delivering high-quality instruction, developing comprehensive training programs, and ensuring the continuous improvement of curriculum and training methodologies within the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) framework. Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Instructional and Student Support Responsibilities

  • Deliver instruction in relevant subject areas according to approved syllabi, including specialized RSAF courses such as Training Specialist (30050), Advanced Training Course (30063), and ISD Course Writer (20251).
  • Conduct academic assessments and phase-end examinations to monitor student progress and ensure achievement of training objectives.
  • Promote independent learning and a military ethos consistent with the training environment.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of student discipline and offer counseling and motivation on academic and disciplinary matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of student academic results, lesson attendance, and discipline issues, providing regular reports as required.
  • Monitor trainee progress, identify problem areas, determine causes, and recommend corrective actions.

Curriculum and Program Management

  • Regularly review and recommend changes to subject area courseware and assessment materials.
  • Develop new courses related to training and management programs.
  • Apply RSAF procedures for configuration control of curriculum and courseware, including preparing documentation for change requests.
  • Integrate new training materials or equipment into relevant courses and ensure all training equipment is properly maintained and stored.
  • Contribute to the preparation of timetables, scheduling, and allocation of instructors.
  • Determine requirements, requisition, control, and account for tests and instructional materials, ensuring the availability of Specialty Training Standards.
  • Assist in evaluations of training for effectiveness, presentation methods, and instructor ability.
  • Advise commanders and personnel on all training programs and develop/manage programs to assist personnel in achieving proficiency.
  • Prepare directives for the administration and control of training programs and conduct periodic staff assistance visits.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Graduate of a Service or Civilian Technical Training Institute.
  • Successful completion of a formal Instructional Techniques Course.
  • Demonstrated experience as a skill level 9 Training Specialist, with proven capability in managing and supervising training programs.
  • Familiarity with RSAF instructional system development, including successful completion of ISD Course Writer no. (20251).
  • Completion of the mandatory Training Specialist Course no. (30050).
  • Completion of the RSAF Curriculum Specialist Course no. (30194).

Essential Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to evaluate all types and elements of training programs, including academic and On-the-Job Training (OJT).
  • Thorough understanding of RSAF Manuals (RSAFMs 105-8, 105-36, 105-31, 105-28, 105-29, 105-30B, 105-32, 105-01) and other operational training manuals and directives.
  • Proficient knowledge of management functions, interviewing and counseling techniques, and various training techniques and methods of instruction.
  • Familiarity with the learning process, training evaluations, automated training systems, products, and training reporting procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of Training Evaluation Programs, such as Staff Assistance Visits (SAV), 90 and 180-day reviews, and annual inspections/evaluations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of training management, OJT policies and procedures, military personnel policies, and applicable training technology.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Capability to maintain the status of unit OJT programs, develop and update tests, and advise supervisors on Job Performance Guides (JPGs).
  • Competence in designing and supervising all curriculum activities, including preparing and maintaining control and security of curriculum records.
  • A clear understanding of the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) process.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Dhahran, operating within the structured environment of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) training framework. The role requires adherence to a military ethos and active participation in a dynamic instructional setting.
