About the Role

KUWAIT STEEL is seeking a Plant Shift In-Charge to join our operational team in Al Qatif. This full-time position is critical for supervising and coordinating activities within the Lime & Dolomite Plant during assigned shifts. The role focuses on maintaining daily production efficiency, ensuring equipment reliability, upholding product quality, and guaranteeing a safe working environment for all personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate work for operators and technicians within the Lime & Dolomite Plant.
• Control daily production and maintenance activities during shifts.
• Ensure the reliability of equipment and the consistent quality of products.
• Maintain and enforce safe working conditions and operational safety standards.

Operational Oversight

The Plant Shift In-Charge is responsible for the rigorous enforcement of established safety protocols and quality standards across all shift operations. This includes the authority to take immediate operational and safety-related actions as necessary to address unforeseen issues, prevent incidents, and ensure continuous compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Reporting and Documentation

A key aspect of this role involves documenting and reporting shift performance, incidents, and identified improvement needs. These reports are submitted to higher management to support continuous operational enhancement and strategic decision-making.

Decision-Making Scope

Decision-making authority for this role is limited to day-to-day supervision, resource allocation, and troubleshooting within established procedures. Any major modifications, significant production changes, or resource approvals require escalation to engineers, senior supervisors, or plant management for review and authorization.

• 0-1 years of relevant experience in a plant or industrial operational setting.
