Technician Electrician

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Technician Electrician to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the hotel premises. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in a related field and a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Inspect and diagnose malfunctioning tools, equipment, electrical systems, apparatus, and components.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other electrical components.
• Utilize testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure proper functionality.
• Test batteries in generators, emergency lighting, and other critical systems.
• Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and current National Electric Code and local codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Respond to repair requests and perform preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and appliances.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition necessary parts and supplies.

Safety and Operational Compliance

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Properly store flammable materials according to safety guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Guest and Team Interaction

• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.

Physical Requirements and Qualifications

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• A valid Driver’s License is required.
• A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of related work experience is required.
• No supervisory experience is required for this position.
