The Role of Field Operations Supervisor

The Field Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily field operations in Umluj and Tabuk, ensuring efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, materials, and resources. This full-time role maintains high standards of operational performance, plant quality, site maintenance, safety, and productivity. The supervisor will manage field maintenance, inventory movement, soil media operations, and resource allocation while ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily field operations and site maintenance, ensuring all operational areas are organized, clean, safe, and fully functional.
• Manage routine maintenance activities including weeding, pruning, cleaning, irrigation support, and general upkeep.
• Monitor plant health and quality, identifying pest and disease issues and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
• Oversee inventory movements, including receiving, storage, issuance, and dispatch of materials, ensuring accurate stock records.
• Coordinate soil media and growing material operations, including raw material sourcing, mixing, quality control, and distribution.
• Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, vehicles, and materials to ensure activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Monitor workforce productivity and ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost optimization.
• Maintain accurate operational records, including maintenance logs, inventory reports, equipment utilization, and plant health reports.
• Prepare periodic reports on operational performance, resource utilization, and maintenance activities for management review.
• Coordinate with Nursery, Landscape, Irrigation, and other support functions for seamless operational execution.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of operational procedures and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all field operations.
• Assist in training and coaching field staff to improve performance and adherence to operational standards.

Policies, Systems, and Procedures

The Field Operations Supervisor ensures compliance with all company policies, operational procedures, and health, safety, and environmental standards. This includes implementing and monitoring approved operational systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain efficiency and quality. The role involves supporting continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, recommending corrective actions, and maintaining accurate operational records and reports for audits and management review. The supervisor will also monitor compliance with quality standards and operational KPIs, contributing to the development and enhancement of policies and reporting mechanisms.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in field operations or a related supervisory role.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate daily field activities.
• Experience in managing manpower, equipment, materials, and resources efficiently.
• Knowledge of plant health, quality standards, and site maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with inventory management and soil media operations.
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Continuous Improvement Focus

This role contributes to the continuous improvement of field operations by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The supervisor monitors operational performance, recommends corrective and preventive actions, and supports the implementation of new technologies and best practices. This includes participating in developing and reviewing operational procedures, encouraging innovation and knowledge sharing among staff, and analyzing operational data to recommend process enhancements. The supervisor assists in conducting operational reviews and corrective action plans to drive sustainable improvement.
