Manager Financial Operations

About the Role

The Red Sea Utility Company is seeking a Manager - Financial Operations to lead and manage the full accounts receivable and billing lifecycle within its Utilities Finance department. This full-time position is based in Umluj and reports directly to the Director of Finance. The role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, effective revenue recognition, and optimized cash flow through diligent collections.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end billing processes, including finalizing end-user agreements and collaborating with operations to ensure completeness and accuracy of consumption data.
• Generate and submit final bills to clients, and reconcile payments while closing invoices in SAP ERP.
• Monitor aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and negotiate payment arrangements with overdue customers.
• Escalate unresolved collection cases promptly and collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement optimal credit policies.
• Maintain robust internal controls and ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks specific to utilities.
• Support internal and external audits and implement policies and procedures to safeguard receivables.
• Prepare and present Accounts Receivable Key Performance Indicators (AR KPIs) and provide actionable insights to senior leadership for decision-making.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements, driving automation initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Optimize systems for billing and collections processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial operations, with a focus on accounts receivable and billing.
• Demonstrated experience in managing collections and credit risk.
• Proficiency in SAP ERP for invoice reconciliation and related financial operations.
• Experience in process improvement and technology optimization within a finance context.
