About Abbott and the Role

Abbott is a global healthcare leader dedicated to creating breakthrough science that improves people’s health. The company continuously anticipates changes in medical science and technology to innovate for the future. We are seeking a Sales Executive to join our team in Buraydah, Al Qasim, Saudi Arabia, working full-time within our Rapid Diagnostic Infectious Disease Division.

The Rapid Diagnostics Division

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics’ Infectious Disease goal is to lead in market development and the adoption of point-of-care diagnostics (POC) in our core markets. Rapid diagnostic solutions provide crucial information used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics globally, often serving as the initial step in patient care decision-making for a wide range of health conditions. This position supports the transition from laboratory-based tests to diagnostics delivered directly at the point of care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sales Executive, you will have full responsibility for achieving the assigned sales quota. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Manage and drive territory development by promoting new and existing products through relevant marketing activities, such as product presentations and competitor information.
  • Execute sales calls, targeting high sales areas for maximum efficiency.
  • Implement the Go-to-Market strategy, aligning with regional and global approaches while adapting to country-specific objectives.
  • Build, maintain, and expand strong partnerships with target accounts and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) using a consultative selling approach.
  • Appraise current and planned customer needs, advising on the application of company products and services to meet requirements.
  • Cooperate closely with distributor sales teams to develop and execute effective local sales strategies by customer segment.
  • Support distribution partners in product sales, providing training, sales meeting participation, technical expertise, and marketing support.
  • Provide timely forecasts, business reports, and action plans, regularly re-evaluating performance against forecast and budget.
  • Ensure accurate and reliable demand planning and forecasting based on customer and distributor commitments.
  • Collect and maintain up-to-date market intelligence, including competitor activities, pricing, and tenders, along with customer-related feedback.
  • Represent Abbott professionally, aligning with company image and ensuring all activities adhere to legal and ethical standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this full-time Sales Executive position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience. The role requires a professional capable of promoting the full range of the ID portfolio for their designated territory, leveraging cross-franchise synergies, and facilitating new Covid-related product launches.
