Civil Engineer, Umluj

Enova by Veolia is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team in Umluj, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on ensuring the safety, functionality, and longevity of civil and structural assets within facilities.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Civil Engineer is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, inspection, and repair of civil and structural elements across various facilities. This role involves supporting the planning and execution of both preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring strict compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives within the facilities management environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete lifecycle of assigned fit-out projects, from initial client brief through to final handover.
• Collaborate with other engineers to develop and implement comprehensive fit-out plans, considering space utilization, building codes, and client requirements.
• Analyze existing building conditions, including structural elements and MEP systems, to determine feasibility and identify potential challenges.
• Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for fit-out work, utilizing BIM (Building Information Modeling) software when applicable.
• Oversee and coordinate the work of subcontractors, ensuring adherence to plans, budget, and schedule.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify and resolve quality issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Manage project budgets and timelines, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in the fit-out industry, including sustainable building practices and materials.

The successful candidate will be required to abide by all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures essential for a safe and well-managed workplace. Active commitment and accountability to Enova’s HSEQ policy, operating procedures, and local legislation are mandatory. Stakeholder Engagement and Professional Development

This role involves developing proactive working relationships with all relevant authorities and contributing to identifying areas for service improvement. The Civil Engineer will also provide technical guidance to junior staff, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and remain informed about the latest industry trends and sustainable practices.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this position should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering, particularly within facilities management or fit-out projects.
