About the Role

Orient Castle Contracting Company is seeking a Health Safety Engineer (HSE) to join its team in Al Wajh, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience who are prepared for continuous on-site presence to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance on construction projects.

Role Purpose

The HSE Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures specifically on construction sites within Amaala, Saudi Arabia. This role requires a dedicated physical presence on-site to uphold regulatory compliance and foster a strong culture of safety among all project personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update HSE policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations. Conduct risk assessments and formulate mitigation strategies.
• Conduct HSE training sessions for all site personnel to enhance safety awareness and provide proper HSE orientation for new employees.
• Maintain continuous on-site presence in Amaala to perform regular inspections, identify hazards, and ensure adherence to HSE standards. Document findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead investigations into accidents and incidents to determine root causes. Prepare comprehensive reports and present findings with recommendations for improvement to management.
• Stay informed on local and national HSE regulations, ensuring compliance across all projects. Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
• Maintain accurate records of all HSE activities, incidents, and training. Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to the Projects Director.

Qualifications and Certifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant Health, Safety, and Environment role.
• Possession of NEBOSH, IOSH, or an equivalent HSE certification.

Professional Interfaces

The HSE Engineer will regularly interface with:

• Regulatory Authorities during inspections and compliance checks.
• External HSE Consultants for assessments and improvement initiatives as required.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Al Wajh, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, requiring continuous on-site presence at construction sites within Amaala. The role demands active engagement in a dynamic construction environment to maintain rigorous safety standards.
