About the Role: Host / Hostess at Fairmont The Red Sea

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Host / Hostess of Saudi nationality to join the team at Fairmont The Red Sea. This full-time position is located in the Tabuk region, serving the cities of Umluj and Tabuk. The role offers an opportunity to be part of a new, nature-focused resort within the Kingdom's Red Sea Project, which is setting new standards in sustainable development along an untouched coastline and archipelago.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Outlet Manager, the Host / Hostess will manage various aspects of the dining room and guest experience. Key duties include:

• Overseeing dining room layout, table assignments, and setup standards.
• Managing restaurant reservation procedures and daily guest counts (arrivals, departures, VIPs).
• Answering telephones promptly and professionally, adhering to etiquette standards.
• Taking, confirming, and communicating restaurant reservations and cancellations.
• Ensuring menus, check folders, and the hostess stand are clean and organized.
• Reviewing reservation books, pre-assigning tables, and addressing special requests.
• Greeting guests at the restaurant entrance and seating them according to the floor plan.
• Ensuring guest satisfaction with table assignments and presenting menus.
• Anticipating busy periods and managing waiting lines effectively.
• Proactively anticipating and responding to guest needs throughout their visit.
• Maintaining positive guest relations and handling complaints with instant pacification procedures.
• Monitoring guest reactions and conferring with management to ensure satisfaction.
• Assisting restaurant staff with job functions to ensure optimal service.
• Promoting a cooperative working climate and maximizing productivity.
• Conducting table visits to ensure guest satisfaction and promoting F&B outlets during downtime.
• Assisting with cashiering procedures and menu printing as needed.
• Demonstrating flexibility to rotate within different F&B outlets.
• Performing any other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Host/Hostess or in a similar front-of-house hospitality role is preferred (0-1 year experience required).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer-focused mindset.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to multitask effectively.
• Proficiency with reservation and point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in high-pressure environments.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Fluency in English is required. Arabic language skills are a plus.
• Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with luxury hospitality standards.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Work Environment and Location

This full-time position is based at the Fairmont The Red Sea resort, situated in the Tabuk region, serving the areas of Umluj and Tabuk. The resort is part of the Red Sea Project, emphasizing a nature-focused experience and sustainable development, adjacent to an 18-hole championship golf course.
