About the Cooperative Training Role

Haven Scientific offers a full-time, on-site Cooperative Training position in Biochemistry, focusing on Research & Development (R&D) and Production. This role is based in Thuwal, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is designed to provide hands-on experience in both scientific research and development and production environments for students enrolled in official university co-op programs.

Key Responsibilities

The trainee will contribute to laboratory operations and experiments by performing the following duties:

• Preparing reagents for various experiments.
• Handling biological samples with precision and care.
• Operating basic laboratory equipment as required.
• Assisting with data collection and documentation, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.

Training Tracks

This cooperative training offers two distinct tracks, allowing trainees to specialize based on their academic background and career interests:

• Research & Development (R&D) Track:
  • Supporting experiment design and methodology.
  • Running assays under the supervision of experienced personnel.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed lab notebooks.
  • Contributing to literature reviews to support ongoing projects.
• Production Track:
  • Supporting batch processing operations.
  • Precisely following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assisting with equipment preparation and cleaning protocols.
  • Maintaining accurate production logs and records.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates interested in this cooperative training must meet the following criteria:

• Currently a final-year student pursuing a degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related Life Sciences field.
• Enrolled in an official university cooperative program as part of their academic curriculum.

Work Environment

This full-time cooperative training position is based on-site at Haven Scientific's facilities in Thuwal (KAUST), Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role provides direct exposure to both research and production settings within a dynamic scientific environment.
