About the Linguistics Specialist Role

Cactus Communications, through its flagship brand Editage, is building a global pool of freelance contributors. We are currently seeking a Linguistics Specialist to support ongoing AI and language-based projects. This contract-based, remote position is open to individuals with 0-1 years of experience, located in Jazan, Saudi Arabia, who possess strong bilingual capabilities.

Project Context and Contribution

This role involves joining a platform designed to facilitate flexible, task-based work remotely. Specialists will leverage their linguistic expertise to enhance and refine various forms of language data, contributing directly to the development and improvement of artificial intelligence models and language-based services. The position is integral to expanding Editage's capacity for global language initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Review and refine text, translations, and captions across general subject areas such as travel, food, lifestyle, and finance.
Transcribe conversations and perform quality checks on transcribed content.
Label or annotate voice, text, or image content for data processing.
Review and correct outputs generated by AI systems to ensure accuracy and quality.
Assist in localizing content specifically for use in AI models.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

Near-native level proficiency in the Target Language and a strong command of English.
Excellent attention to detail and a proven ability to follow instructions accurately.
Prior experience in translation, editing, or related language tasks is preferred.

Work Arrangement

This is a 100% remote, flexible, and ad hoc contract position. Specialists will have the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of projects, contributing to a global pool of language professionals from their remote location.
