About the Role

Editage, a flagship brand of Cactus Communications, is seeking a Linguistics Specialist to join its global pool of freelance contributors. This is a contract-based, remote position, offering flexible, task-based work. Candidates with 0-1 year of experience are encouraged to apply for this opportunity, which is associated with the Tabuk region.

Role Context and Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to support ongoing AI and language-based projects. The Linguistics Specialist will contribute to various tasks designed to enhance and refine language content across diverse subject areas, working as part of a distributed team of bilingual speakers.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and refine text, translations, and captions in general areas such as travel, food, lifestyle, and finance.
• Transcribe conversations and perform quality checks on transcribed content.
• Label or annotate voice, text, or image content for AI model training.
• Review and correct outputs generated by AI systems.
• Assist in localizing content to adapt it for various AI models.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Near-native level proficiency in the target language.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Demonstrated excellent attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions.
• Prior experience in translation, editing, or related language tasks is preferred.

Work Arrangement

This position offers a 100% remote work environment with flexible, ad hoc task assignments. Contributors will engage in a wide variety of projects and become part of a global pool of language specialists. Compensation for this role is task-based.
