Role Overview: Linguistics Specialist

Cactus Communications, through its flagship brand Editage, is seeking a Linguistics Specialist Saudi Arabic Gulf to join its global pool of freelance contributors. This contract position is fully remote and based in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. The role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience in language-related tasks.

Project Context and Contribution

This role contributes to ongoing AI and language-based projects by leveraging bilingual proficiency. Contributors will engage in flexible, task-based work, supporting the development and refinement of language models and content across various domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and refine text, translations, and captions in general areas such as travel, food, lifestyle, and finance.
• Transcribe conversations and perform quality checks on transcribed content.
• Label or annotate voice, text, or image content according to project guidelines.
• Review and correct outputs generated by AI systems.
• Assist in localizing content specifically for AI models.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Near-native level proficiency in the Target Language (Saudi Arabic Gulf) and a strong command of English.
• Demonstrated excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Prior experience in translation, editing, or related language tasks is preferred.

Work Arrangement and Environment

This is a 100% remote, contract-based position offering flexible, ad hoc work opportunities. Contributors will engage with a variety of projects as part of a global contributor pool.
