About the Role

Magrabi Health is seeking a Safety Technician to join their team in Jizan, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting the implementation of health, safety, fire prevention, and environmental safety programs across assigned hospitals and centers. The Safety Technician will ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, employees, contractors, and assets, working closely with all departments to maintain compliance with safety policies, accreditation requirements, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine safety inspections of hospital/center buildings, clinical areas, offices, workshops, warehouses, and utility plants.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions and practices, monitoring corrective actions until closure.
  • Inspect fire safety equipment, ensure clear evacuation routes, and assist in fire drills and emergency preparedness exercises.
  • Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and promote safe work practices.
  • Assist in investigating accidents, injuries, property damage incidents, and near misses, collecting evidence and preparing reports.
  • Oversee contractor compliance with safety requirements, conducting safety inductions and reporting violations.
  • Participate in emergency response activities and support hospital/center emergency codes and disaster management plans.
  • Conduct inspections of hazardous material storage areas, assist in maintaining Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and support related training programs.
  • Maintain comprehensive safety records, including inspection reports, audit reports, incident reports, and training records, and prepare periodic safety performance reports.
  • Assist in delivering safety orientations for new employees and participate in safety awareness campaigns and training initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in a relevant safety role.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough safety inspections and monitor compliance.
  • Experience with fire safety management and emergency preparedness protocols.
  • Familiarity with occupational health and safety principles and incident investigation procedures.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials and waste safety regulations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to conduct site inspections throughout hospital/center premises.
  • Ability to climb stairs and access service areas.
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations when required.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, or on-call schedules if applicable.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Jizan, Saudi Arabia, requiring active engagement within hospital and center environments to ensure safety standards are met across all operations.
