About the Role

Fireman Contracting is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join their team. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, and involves managing various financial operations to ensure accuracy and compliance within the company's accounting framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily journal entries and manage the complete accounting cycle.
• Prepare and follow up on invoices.
• Perform bank reconciliations and prepare related adjustments.
• Generate monthly financial reports.
• Monitor expenses and revenues, ensuring the accuracy and validity of supporting documents.
• Manage and reconcile employee advances and settlements.
• Prepare tax declarations, specifically Value Added Tax (VAT), and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Track employee salaries and coordinate with the Human Resources department as necessary.
• Operate accounting software and ensure accurate data entry.
• Collaborate with external auditors when required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of one year of professional experience in accounting.
• Saudi nationality is required for this position.

Essential Skills

• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare financial reports and analyze data effectively.

Regulatory Knowledge and Professional Affiliations

• Familiarity with Value Added Tax (VAT) and Zakat regulations.
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in contracting companies.
• Preference will be given to candidates holding membership with the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA).
