About the Role

Arabian Ceramics is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its team in Makkah. This full-time position is ideal for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to develop expertise in industrial mechanical operations. The role involves comprehensive responsibility for the supervision and troubleshooting of plant mechanical equipment and machinery, alongside contributing to the design and manufacture of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the troubleshooting of all plant mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Contribute to the design and manufacture of mechanical systems.
• Analyze and test new products for performance, safety, and longevity.
• Determine the most efficient and cost-effective methods for product manufacturing while adhering to quality standards.
• Monitor mechanical systems using computer applications and implement necessary ongoing adjustments.
• Develop and implement a complete preventive maintenance program covering all plant mechanical equipment and machinery to prevent production disruptions.
• Collaborate closely with the Electrical Troubleshooting Section Head, Utilities, and the Technical Department Manager to ensure all plant machinery and equipment operate reliably.

Required Technical Skills

The role requires practical experience or familiarity with the following systems and operations:

• Industrial Mechanical systems, including transmission, drives, gears, bearings, couplings, and gearboxes.
• Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
• Boilers, Chillers, Air Compressors, Pumps, Motor drives, Conveyors, and Presses.
• Basic Fabrication and Machining Operations, such as Drilling, Grinding, and Welding.

Candidate Attributes

• Reliable and capable of working effectively without direct supervision.
• Possesses a strong teamwork spirit and the ability to collaborate with colleagues.
• Able to work on a job priority basis, including 3-shift work and outside normal working hours.

Physical and Analytical Demands

• Ability to communicate orally with management and co-workers.
• Normal hearing and vision are beneficial for conversations and equipment inspection.
• Good manual dexterity for the use of common machinery and equipment.
• Strong reasoning ability to solve a wide range of machine mechanical problems.
• Proficiency in applying statistical calculations, analysis of variance, mechanical techniques, sampling theory, algebra, linear equations, and other analytical methods as required.
• Ability to understand and utilize management reports and plans to conduct business.
• Capable of exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally; heavy lifting is not expected.
