About the Role

EDITION is seeking a Server for The Jeddah EDITION. This full-time position is based in Jeddah and involves serving food and alcoholic beverages to guests, ensuring a high standard of service and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests.
Set tables according to event type and service standards.
Answer questions regarding menu selections and communicate with the kitchen on menu inquiries, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability.
Relay additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order.
Check with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, and glass throughout the day.
Complete closing duties, including restocking items and turning off lights.
Present accurate checks to guests and process payments.
Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests.
Communicate professionally, develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to employee concerns.
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

0-1 year of relevant experience is required for this position.
