The Storekeeper Role

We are seeking a Storekeeper for a full-time position. This role is responsible for the comprehensive management of hotel supplies and materials purchased through the Purchasing Department. The Storekeeper ensures that all incoming goods are properly received, checked, recorded, stored, and distributed to the relevant hotel departments, while also maintaining accurate inventory levels and proper stock rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and meticulously check goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Verify the quantity, quality, and condition of all incoming items.
• Maintain precise inventory and stock records for all stored items.
• Store goods appropriately, adhering to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) principles.
• Issue items accurately against approved store requisitions from hotel departments.
• Monitor par and minimum stock levels, promptly informing the Purchasing Department of requirements.
• Conduct regular stock counts and investigate any discrepancies thoroughly.
• Coordinate effectively with the Purchasing, Receiving, and Cost Control departments.
• Ensure the storeroom is consistently clean, organized, and secure.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 0-1 years of experience in a Storekeeper, Purchasing Storekeeper, Receiving Clerk, or a similar role, preferably within a hotel environment.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in English, encompassing both written and verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of Purchase Orders, delivery notes, requisitions, and inventory documentation.
• Strong numerical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
