About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a full-time Supervisor-Systems /IT to join its team in Jeddah. This role is central to maintaining the technical health of the organization, focusing on troubleshooting and resolving technical problems related to computer software and systems. The Supervisor-Systems /IT provides essential technical guidance, implements process improvements, and manages various IT and telecommunications activities to ensure operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

The Supervisor-Systems /IT plays a critical role in supporting the company's technological infrastructure and operational standards. This position involves both direct technical work and contributions to broader team and process development. Core responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems or issues related to computer software and systems.
• Providing technical guidance and recommendations to resolve business problems effectively.
• Analyzing, recommending, and implementing process improvements across IT functions.
• Managing and coordinating the planning, design, operations, maintenance, and resource allocation of telecommunications activities, including client/server support and strategic planning.

Technical Operations and System Management

This role requires hands-on technical expertise to ensure the seamless operation of IT and telecommunications systems. Specific duties include:

• Entering commands and activating controls on computer and peripheral equipment to integrate and operate systems.
• Troubleshooting, modifying, supporting, managing, and maintaining application programs and user accounts.
• Maintaining accurate records of daily data communication transactions, identified problems, remedial actions taken, and installation activities.
• Training or instructing users in the proper use of hardware or software.
• Consulting with and advising others on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods related to telecommunications.
• Entering and locating information using computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems.

Operational Excellence and Team Collaboration

Beyond technical tasks, the Supervisor-Systems /IT contributes to a productive work environment and supports organizational goals through various operational and collaborative efforts:

• Assisting management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Serving as a role model and the first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
• Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues and supporting the team to reach common goals.
• Following all company policies and procedures and protecting company assets.
• Communicating with others using clear and professional language.
• Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards; identifying, recommending, developing, and implementing new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
• Visually verifying information and performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications

Candidates interested in the Supervisor-Systems /IT position should meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is required.
• Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No prior supervisory experience is required for this role.
